Herbalism
The wilds of Velmora are a living apothecary for those who know where to look. Herbalism is the art of identifying, harvesting, and preserving the plants, fungi, and roots that grow across the continent's diverse landscapes. From the sun-drenched meadows of the Plainsfolk territories to the shadow-choked undergrowth of corrupted forests, every biome yields unique flora with distinct properties. The goddess Sylvanis, guardian of nature and the wilds, watches over those who harvest with respect rather than greed — but punishes those who strip the land bare. Herbs serve as reagents for magery, base ingredients for alchemy, and components for healing poultices. A skilled herbalist can identify rare specimens that untrained eyes would dismiss as common weeds, and they learn the optimal time and method for harvesting each plant to preserve its potency. Some of the rarest herbs grow only in dangerous or remote locations — clinging to cliff faces above roaring waterfalls, sprouting in the shadow of ancient ruins, or blooming for a single night each year in the depths of enchanted groves.
