Nythera

Nythera is the goddess of hidden knowledge, the silent guardian of secrets, and the watcher of the unseen. To Nythera, light is not inherently good and darkness is not inherently evil — both are necessary for the world to thrive. Those who serve her operate in shadows, listening for whispers of truth and guiding events in subtle ways. Unlike Solmara and Malrik, who represent extremes, Nythera exists between them. She despises Malrik's corruption because it perverts natural duality, twisting ambition into obsession. Her followers, the Veilwalkers, hunt down rogue cultists who tamper with Abyssal Shards using illusions and stealth. Yet she also conflicts with Solmara, whose zealotry she sees as dangerous — an attempt to create pure light that would lead to stagnation. Her worship takes place in hidden sanctuaries, moonlit glades, and underground chambers warded by magical illusions. The Shadowed Halls hold forbidden texts, the Lunar Sanctum trains monks in shadow magic beneath a moonlit waterfall, and the Night Market appears only under the full moon offering rare knowledge and secret contracts. As the Three Black Suns draw closer to alignment, Nythera's role remains uncertain. Will she aid Solmara, protect the balance, or betray both sides?
