Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

ENS YAZILIM VE BİLİŞİM TEKNOLOJİLERİ TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use our website, game, forums, and related services (collectively, "Services"). This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes in our data processing practices or applicable regulations. The current version will always be available on this page.

1. Data Controller

The data controller for the processing described in this policy is ENS YAZILIM VE BİLİŞİM TEKNOLOJİLERİ TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ. If you have questions regarding this Privacy Policy or your personal data, please contact us through our support page.

2. Information We Collect

We collect different types of personal data depending on how you interact with our Services. Below is a summary of the categories of data we collect.

Account Data

When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and password (stored as a cryptographic hash — we never store your actual password). If you enable two-factor authentication, we store the associated verification data. We also record the date your account was created and when your password was last changed.

Profile Data

You may optionally provide your first name, last name, and country. This information is used to personalize your experience and is not required to use our Services.

Game Data

When you play Eternal Dawn, we collect data related to your gameplay, including your character names, character attributes, inventory, in-game position, friends list, and housing data. This data is necessary to provide the game experience and is stored on our game servers.

Communication Data

If you use our forums, we collect the content you post (topics, replies, edits), your forum profile information (bio, signature, avatar, location), and file uploads. If you submit support tickets, bug reports, or player reports, we collect the information you provide in those submissions, which may include hardware information, screenshots, and game client logs.

Newsletter Data

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and optionally your name. We use a double opt-in process — you will receive a confirmation email before your subscription becomes active. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every newsletter email.

Technical Data

When you use our Services, we automatically collect certain technical data for security and service operation purposes. This includes your IP address, browser user agent, login source (web, game client, or admin tool), timestamps of your login attempts (both successful and failed), and a device fingerprint derived from your connection information. This data helps us protect your account from unauthorized access and detect suspicious activity.

Payment Data

Payment processing is not yet active. When we introduce payment features, we will update this Privacy Policy with details on what payment data is collected and how it is processed. Payment card details will be handled by third-party payment processors and will not be stored on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Account management and authentication — to create and manage your account, verify your identity, and maintain your login sessions across our Services.
  • Game services — to provide, maintain, and improve the game experience, including saving your progress, characters, inventory, and in-game interactions.
  • Community features — to operate our forums, enable discussions, and allow you to interact with other players.
  • Player support — to respond to your support tickets, investigate bug reports, and address player reports.
  • Communication — to send you service-related emails (such as email verification and password reset) and, if you have opted in, newsletter updates about the game.
  • Security and anti-abuse — to protect your account and our Services from unauthorized access, fraud, and abuse by monitoring login activity, recording device fingerprints, and detecting suspicious behavior.
  • Content moderation — to review user-generated content on our forums for compliance with our Community Guidelines, which may include automated (AI-assisted) review followed by human moderation when necessary.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Infrastructure providers — we use cloud hosting services (AWS) to store and process your data. These providers act as data processors on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect your data.
  • Email delivery — we use a cloud email service (AWS SES) to send transactional and newsletter emails. The service processes recipient email addresses for delivery purposes only.
  • Payment processors — when payment features are introduced, we will use third-party payment processors to handle transactions. They will process your payment information under their own privacy policies.
  • Legal obligations — we may disclose your data if required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect our rights, safety, or the safety of others.

5. International Data Transfers

Your permanent personal data (account, profile, forum content, support data) is stored on servers located in the European Union. However, to provide game server functionality across different regions, some game-related data (such as character position, in-game actions, and session data) may be transferred to and processed in other regions, including the United States and other parts of the world where our game servers operate. When data is transferred outside the EU, we take appropriate measures to ensure your data remains protected.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our Services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain it for legal, security, or fraud prevention purposes. Login records and security-related data may be retained for a limited period after account deletion to protect against unauthorized access and abuse. Newsletter subscription data is retained until you unsubscribe, at which point your email address is retained only on our suppression list to ensure we do not contact you again.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access — you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Right to deletion — you can ask us to delete your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Right to data portability — you can request your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object — you can object to certain types of data processing, such as direct marketing.
  • Right to lodge a complaint — you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority in your jurisdiction.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. The minimum age requirement for Eternal Dawn has not yet been finalized and will be specified before the game's public launch. This section will be updated accordingly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or applicable laws. The current version will always be available on this page. We will not make substantial changes to this Privacy Policy or reduce your rights without providing notice. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
