At Eternal Dawn, we believe in being upfront about how we use artificial intelligence across our platform. This page explains where AI is used, what it does, and how it affects your experience.
Where We Use AI
Content Moderation
We use AI to assist with moderating user-generated content on our forums. AI reviews posts to help identify content that may violate our Community Guidelines, such as spam, harassment, or other prohibited material.
- AI may temporarily hide a post that appears to violate our Community Guidelines until a human reviewer can evaluate it. Hidden posts are not deleted — they are held from public view pending review.
- Permanent moderation actions, such as post removal or account penalties, are always made by a human reviewer.
- If your post is temporarily hidden or you believe a moderation decision was made in error, you can appeal through our support system and your case will be reviewed by a person.
Editorial Assistance
We use AI tools to proofread and correct grammar in our news articles, patch notes, and other editorial content. AI assists with refining language and fixing errors — the substance, meaning, and creative direction of all content is determined by our team.
Website Imagery
Some splash images and hero graphics on our website are created by processing in-game screenshots and artwork with the assistance of AI. These tools help us adapt game visuals into formats better suited for web presentation. AI is not used to generate game assets, characters, or in-game content.
Translations
We use AI to assist with translating website content, articles, and other platform text into supported languages. Translations may be reviewed and adjusted by our team to ensure accuracy and tone, but AI plays a significant role in the initial translation process.
What AI Does Not Do
To be equally clear about the boundaries of our AI use:
- AI does not generate in-game content. Game world design, lore, quests, dialogue, and artwork are created by our development team.
- AI does not make automated enforcement decisions. No player will be banned, muted, or penalised by an AI system without human review.
- AI does not profile players. We do not use AI to build behavioural profiles, predict player actions, or make decisions about your account based on automated analysis.
- AI does not interact with players directly. You will not encounter AI-generated responses in support tickets, forum replies, or any player-facing communication without clear disclosure.
Your Data
When AI is used for content moderation, the text of forum posts is processed by a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) to evaluate compliance with our Community Guidelines. This processing is covered under our Privacy Policy and is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining a safe community environment. No additional personal data beyond the post content is shared with the AI provider for this purpose.
For translations and editorial assistance, only the content being translated or proofread is processed — no user personal data is involved.
Your Rights
- You may appeal any moderation decision through our support system and receive a human review.
- You may request information about whether AI was involved in a specific moderation action affecting your account.

Changes to This Policy
As our use of AI evolves, we will update this page to reflect any new applications. Significant changes will be communicated through our usual channels, including news posts and email notifications where appropriate.
